Multiple modes of transport
What does TravelTime Transport do in a nutshell?
The TravelTime platform can search, rank and sort locations by minutes using most modes of transport. Walking, driving and cycling are covered as well as public transport modes such as train, underground, tram and bus. The platform uses information from the majority of public transport timetables and covers scheduled roadworks and engineering works.
Multi-mode transport options
Oleta Adams once sang “you can reach me by railway” but she also made herself reachable by airplane, caravan, and sailboat. Just like Oleta, we want to give as many options as possible.
Search all modes
If your customers don’t mind which mode they use, TravelTime allows them to search all modes of transport simultaneously. For example “Show me restaurants within 30 minutes by car, foot or public transport from the office”
Combine transport modes
Many customers want to drive to a location, park their car, then use public transport the rest of the way. TravelTime lets users search by more than one mode within one trip. For example “Which train station should I drop my car off at before heading into London city centre?”
Which modes of transport should I choose?
All of our transport modes are available over the API – and it’s the same price if you want to use all of them or just the one.
Waiting times are calculated differently depending on how you choose to display time of day on the website. When customers select a specific time of day, they see a wait time that’s reflective of real public transport data. When the time of day is not specified, the average wait time for that mode of public transport is given.
